obligatory monthly entry

I’m going on holiday next week!

Tom and I are going to Alicante for a few days. I can’t wait. We had a bit of a nightmare booking it. We booked the hotel easily, but the flights didn’t go so well. The best flights we could find were with Monarch, but booked using ebookers, which we did, but when I typed in Tom’s email address I put .co.uk instead of .com. What a twat. We managed to change it with ebookers, but couldn’t with Monarch, so although we had a confirmation email from ebookers, we got nothing from Monarch, and the email from Monarch was essentially our ticket. Luckily it’s sorted now and we have our email, but at the moment we have no baggage. Yesterday there wasn’t even the option to add any baggage, but luckily there is today, although it costs about £45! Anyway, it’s all a bit more sorted now and I feel a bit better about it. I felt like I couldn’t do anything for the holiday until I knew the flights were sorted. But I got my travel insurance last night and went and got my euros today. I did a lot of shopping today and spent far too much money. But I did get a bag for the beach, a nice white skirt, a playsuit (no idea when I’m going to wear that, but I loved it so I had to get it) and a tiny bikini. Thank god i get paid on Friday – I have no money at the moment. It’s been a really heavy month because of the holiday. And my car broke :(. It wouldn’t start one day so mum took it to the garage, assuming it was the battery. The battery was dead so she got a new one (thankfully mum paid for that and hasn’t asked for the money back), but while she was there they were like ‘by the way, you need a new gasket head’. Great! They’ve done it now and my car’s fine, and I haven’t had the bill yet, but mum reckons about £300! I really can’t afford that, and I have to pay £120-something to renew my tax disc. And I had to buy petrol today. Bloody car. Shouldn’t complain too much, at least I have a job. It’s just a bit depressing that I’m going to go back into my overdraft. It doesn’t matter, because it’s interest free, it’s just a bit rubbish as I haven’t gone into it for months.

Bla. I have nothing much to say really. Nothing of interest anyway. Going out for a curry tomorrow night, which I cannot wait for.

Lovely.
