101 things in 1001 days.

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

 Bold = completed tasks.
 

  1. Read 5 of Shakespeare’s plays (5/5).  Completed.
  2. Go to the Globe theatre to see a play.
  3. See a Shakespeare play at the theatre (separate to going to the Globe).  Completed 1-5-09.
  4. Read the Lord of the Rings books (3/3).  Completed 1-3-09.
  5. Reread all of Harry Potter (7/7).  Completed 25-1-09.
  6. Complete Eeyore cross-stitch for Chris’s birthday.  Completed 26-5-09.
  7. Complete 4 other cross-stitches (2/4).
  8. Have all completed cross-stitches framed.
  9. Sort through and tidy up all extra threads and cross-stitch materials and put away neatly.  Completed 30-9-08.
  10. Learn how to knit and have something to show for it (e.g. a scarf).
  11. Take part in the Race for Life.  Completed 14-6-09.
  12. Take part in the Sport Relief mile.
  13. Be able to run for at least 30 consecutive minutes – must do this 3 times (0/3).
  14. Be able to run a mile in 7 minutes or less – must do this 3 times (0/3).
  15. Walk on the Malvern Hills at least 5 times (3/5).
  16. Walk the length of the Malvern Hills (doesn’t count as one of the 5 times).  Completed 22-4-11.
