Blow me to you
I am procrastinating big time. And I feel no guilt, no shame. And that is freeing. lol. Now I am free to do what I am putting off.
I am just impressed with how guilt, if allowed, binds you up to continue to fail, while grace, embraced, pushes you with a mighty wind to succeed. Like Aslan blowing Eustace and Polly to their destiny. Ha ha ha. Thanks Lord.
EDIT************
When I feel bad about failing to do what I or someone else expects me to do I dig myself deeper into dysfunction. The cloud of guilt surrounds and paralyzes me. In God’s reality (therefore mine when I look up and see it) I am actually not guilty. In fact I am perfect. When looking from behind God’s eyes I have no choice but to acknowledge that there is nothing to see here. Nothing but Christ. I am flooded with joy. Surrounded by Him. Smiled upon from within. I smile back. It’s quite contagious.
It is then as plain as the nose on my face. If I’m not guilty, I am not dysfunctional. There is nothing stopping me from continuing to walk with and in my Lord. It was never about my ability, only about His vision.

In Sandy soil I plant this seed, If even only I do heed.
In death is life; won’t be denied, grown by tears of sorrow cried.
The truth is harsh, the babes are dead, I’ll hold mine closer in their stead.
It’s all I have and know to do. I don’t admit those lives are through.
I will not waste this plot of land, it will not wither ‘neath my hand.
Come here my Love, look in my eyes,
Do you know how dear you are to me….?
I’m glad it’s working for you! Enjoy your new found freedom!

I read an inspirational book the other day about acting your way into right thinking, rather than thinking too much and failing to act. This entry reminded me of that.

🙂 I was thinking about procrastinating, but I think I’ll wait until tomorrow to start….

ryn: No, I have no problem reading. I have a problem wanting to read. I can’t really explain it. I hate the “if there were more hours in the day” comments because if there were more hours in the day, I’d die. Also it isn’t that I don’t have time to read, it is that it is 8,000th on my list of things to do. I enjoy a lot of things. Reading is one of them, but nowhere near the top.

as Christians, we are often guilty of letting ourselves get crushed by guilt! We shouldn’t. God is in control!! Have a great freeing day!

ryn: My parents declared bankruptcy in 2003…and they’re sitting pretty again. So I know it can come back even when you don’t think it will. I just know I have to do this.
