On Another Twang

Today was much better.  I contacted my retirement organization and I will receive a check "sometime this month."  Fortunately we had enough savings after painting the house and taking a vacation to Hawaii to cover the first-of-the-month bills.  Things are starting to be back in place.

But that’s not what I want to talk about…

An old high school 60s-rocker friend announced on Facebook that he realized he was aging fast.  His proof was telling: he said, "I have more than one doctor AND I love country music."  How very very sad.  Now you can love country music–I realize it is one of the most loved genres of music out there.  But not to a late-60s rocker.

Good thing I am not getting old!  Rock on!
peace~~

I passed my Country period long ago. It was in the 70s and 80s. Am now into gentler sounds, like a babbling brook, water fall, rushing river or the surf. Animals and birds make great music, too. Added you to my prayer list, yesterday. Be well, my friend.

When one considers the alternative, getting old is a good option. but you are a long way from old.

I think I’m behind. I didn’t know you were retired, but happy to hear that. Loved the country music story. In that case I’m not getting old either. 🙂

I’m not getting old either. Maybe it’s just the optimist in me!
