My life in a nutshell
Just a note to say that my life is pretty regimented. I do physical therapy twice a week. I do PT exercises every day at home, with Doug bending my knee and straightening it out. It all takes about an hour every day. I go to work and try to get everything finished. And weekends I try to make up some of the work I miss 🙂
My knee is pretty much as good as it is going to get. I will continue to push it for at least another six months, but it bends as much as it probably will (I can bend it at about 110 degrees; Doug or the therapist can bend it for me to about 115 degrees. Most of you can bend yours anywhere from 130 to 135 degrees). I can straighten it to about 5 degrees short of straight and it can be pushed within 2 degrees short of straight. This is all an improvement over pre-surgery. I still have not fully recovered from some pain and I am still stiff after standing or sitting or driving or something-ing. But it is better in that I can walk much farther without pain, I can move much faster, and I am laughing and smiling much more.
The plus side is that I still get to play with my grandgirl at the drop of a hat. She is such a delight. She still helps me exercise when we are together because she wants to ride my stationary bike 🙂 We bake or read or go outside and make lots of noise.
Just a note.
here is to laughing and smiling much more… plus you got the cutest nurse! be well

I’m glad progress is being made and the pain isn’t AS bad as it was. And glad to hear you’re laughing and smiling much more :o) Give the grandbaby hugs for me :o) Take care of you, Miss Soph!

I like reading that you’re laughing and smiling more. And of course able to play until your hearts (luckly little grandchild and yours) are content. She must make it all so much more worthwhile….. I do envy that!
