The time has come, the Walrus said….
Now that school is out for the summer, I have a new fulltime job to attend. First, I have lightened my load for the coming school year. I have removed myself from chair position from three committees I belong. I have removed myself from one whole committee. And I have decided that I didn’t need to remain in my office from 7:45 am until after 5 pm every day. This will all help me get a balance back into my life, I hope.
But about my new fulltime job this summer! I am excited! And I am nervous. On July 10, I am having total knee replacement surgery. I will bein the hospital for four days and then home for recovery. I will be weight-bearing on the knee the next day after surgery and working through physical therapy twice a day at the hospital. My fella is taking off a week to tend to me when I get home, but my full-time job is to get mobile again so I can attend all those meetings, teach all those classes, and run and play with my grandgirl!
Yesterday I went to the pre-op stuff. The nurse said I should be pretty independent by the second week home. I had asked a few freinds if they would like to come help take care of me the second week, but it looks like I won’t need anyone staying here. I will need people to bring me things like lunch or whatever, run errands, but I won’t need anyone staying with me the second week. If I do, I have friends on call đŸ™‚
So that’s my life at this moment. I’ll have my fella post something for me to let you know how it went.
peace~~

Don’t know how I missed this. The sooner the better on the surgery. I have heard that for those who wait too long, there is still discomfort afterward. Hope your surgery gives you virtually a pain-free life after! {{you}}
