Pictures: Clouds and Palm Trees

I realized not too long ago that I really wasn’t using this diary as it should be used. So I thought I’d share a few of my favorite photos of clouds. They are one of my most favorite things to photograph. That and sunrises and sunsets. These were all taken in the evening at two different locations. I carry my camera everywhere. I had stopped to take some pictures of these clouds and my batteries were dead. I’m lucky because the camera takes AA. One of the main reasons I bought a Canon Powershot. Camera knows more than me right now. I started heading home. Couldn’t see spending the huge amount a Circle K would charge for the batteries. I drove about five minutes or so and the photographer in me made me turn around and stop at the store anyway. I then had to park and walk up a big overpass to be able to get these but it was so worth it.

*And as much as I gripe, moan and groan about hating Florida, we’ve got some of the prettiest sunrises and sunsets ever*

These next two were taken outside a shopping center. I didn’t get much of the ground because there’s a road there. And if there’s telephone poles or lines in the picture, I don’t take them. I think it ruins it completely. These next two are some of my most favorites.

This next one was taken while driving home after work early one morning. I hate the time change because I miss all the beautiful sunrises. This doesn’t look like a cow pasture, does it?

I’m visiting my brother in Maryland right now and I got some amazing photos of this one skeletal tree in a huge plowed corn field. When I get home, I’ll be sure to put it here. I have so many favorites. I want to get a whole bunch of 8x10s printed out and hung. Sort of have my own private gallery. I’ve been toying with the idea of selling prints on EBay. Procrastinator that I am, I’ve never done it. Going to try to make that happen soon. I hope you’ve enjoyed something that brings me joy. Nature and photography. I think if I had my creativity removed for some reason, that I wouldn’t want to live. It’s opened up a whole new world of experiences for me.

those are beautiful pictures!!

RYN- I had a long period of abuse… 10 solid years worth from 2 different people… so yes I speak older than my years, because mentally, I AM… I never had a real childhood… and no I don’t think marriage is all it’s cracked up to be anymore either… but I am just now, 13 years after it all began comiing to an acceptance of who I am…

RYN: I too have a new(ish) dog and, while wonderful, sometimes it only makes me miss my sweet Aisha more. I made her wear the reindeer antlers this year and managed to get a photo during the split second she held still. Right after that she was on her back grinding her head into the carpet *laughs*

RYN- I take cloud and sunset photos too… check me out on myspace.com/lavaydah if you can… my profile is friends only tho…

Your photos are breathingly beautiful. And I’m a big palm tree fan. I’ve never been in Florida before, but soon, hopefully. RYN: Yes, I worked for DOD (Department of Defense).
