we all need a place where we can go…
… and feel over the rainbow

There are moments. Sometimes fleeting and brief. Though more often lingering, long, almost haunting… but in the best of ways. They can come at any time. Most often when your mind gets a chance to check out or wander without demand. Maybe you’re driving, taking a shower, washing dishes, waiting.
There are moments. Sometimes they’re slow and easy, sidling up beside you, slowly entwining around you. Other times they suddenly overtake you, engulfing you like a massive, warm wave, crashing over and around you, seeping into and through whatever they touch.
They are moments. Moments you stand face-to-face with the realization that you are completely loved. Not something you have to earn, or work to keep. But that you, as you are, where you’re at, and for simply being you, are loved.
Perhaps when you find yourself confronted by this realization, you’re faced with the love of your creator, a parent, a friend, a loved one, your partner, or maybe a stranger who took the time to strike a flame where your heart had begun to go a little cold.
I hope each one of you have had these moments and will have many more, that each of you know you matter, you have weight and impact in the world around you, that there is no such thing as a "small life," that you make a difference, you make things better, and that you provoke an overwhelming love in people, near and far. And, above all, I hope you find yourself overwhelmed by such a love. And often.
You sound so happy – it’s wonderful 🙂

Thanks for the well-wishings, btw. Your picture fits perfectly with your zen entry. I like that feeling, but I like the one where you stand up too quickly better. Or the one where you’re just about asleep and your mind just wanders off to the craziest of places. But that one’s good, too. heh. jami.
