Where did that week go?
Had a few minutes before I left for work this morning so..
Nelson Update…
Sunday he barely moved.
Monday he stayed home from work. The downside was that the ER doc said he’d be ok to return to work. Not even remotely possible. Too late to take a day of vacation and too early to have a BWC #. So he may not get paid for it. 🙁 We’re still concerned there may be spinal damage.
Tuesday he drug himself to work, but left to go to the BWC clinic. That doc was way more thorough in his exam. Assured Nelson that he didn’t think any spinal damage, only muscular…only…He also scolded Nelson for not taking his meds. Funny how he listened to him…
Wednesday he was exhausted and sore. The clinic doc wrote him note for light duty at work and limited mobility/movement. Company understood and instead of heavy work, worked him long: 7A to 6P.
Thursday he was sore, but back/muscles were getting better. He did well until he stopped in the evening. Put himself to bed early.
Friday was another long day. Ten hour day. It’s such a blessing to have the overtime, but what a toll.
Mandatory OT for the entire plant today. Just not sure how long. OT will all dry up next week. Seems to get this way at the end of the months.
Me…I’m just plugging away with writing, preparing to speak at a retreat next weekend, and playing soccer and basketball with Asher. Today I get to help Nelson with grocery shopping.
Poor guy 🙁

I wish Nellson a speedy recovery.

I sure hope he heals fast, but the muscles seem to want to take a long time to do that.

I am so thankful there wasn’t spinal damage. I have been thinking about you two and praying for Nelson, for speedy healing and for you… for patience. I know how hard it can be to have a hubby who isn’t feeling well and who doesn’t listen to you!!!

I hope you all had a good Easter and that Nels is feeling much better.

I really feel sorry for Nelson. It sounds like it would be better to stay home and heal. Ugh!

Poor Nelson. I injured my back about 7 yrs. ago now. It’s a constant problem for me. I have to go for pain blocks every three months now. I hope that his pain subsides soon. Hugs,M

RYN: Thanks for the belated birthday greeting to Fred. Happy belated birthday to you too. I would have sent this note on the 9th, but I had just gotten home from my trip and my fingers were too sore from pressing the buttons on the slot machines….it hurt to type!

RYN: Nope. Not a thing.

Hope he recovers and is ‘new and improved’ real soon.
