Gazelle!!
Saturday Nelson and I went to Applebees for lunch. I got one of their 550 calorie meals and did it even better when I substituted steamed veggies for the rice. It was heavenly!!
After lunch we went to Asher’s first Upwards Basketball game. I was impressed with the organization. Communication to the adults could be better, but I think we’ll get the hang of it. He had a blast.
After the game Nelson headed to the town south of the town south of us to pick up some exercise equipment we found for sale on Craigslist: a recumbant bike and a Gazelle. It seemed like a good deal and it still sort of is, but the condition of the equipment was not as expected. Both are functional but the elctronic/monitoring/control stuff is either not there or not all there. It’s missing completely on the Gazelle, but I’m not bothered by that because I work out to music and never really found the gizmos to be all that helpful. The recumbant is a good machine, but it’s missing the part that connects it to the electric and also the electric cord. Nelson spent some time searching the internet to see if he could get parts. Undaunted, he will continue his search later today.
I worked out on the Gazelle last night. It felt good! I wish I had never gotten rid of mine. Then I got up early this morning and worked out again. I had wanted a stand for my bike so I could ride all winter, but this will do–and it cost much, much less!
Well, time to get everyone, Nelson and Asher, up and ready for turch (as Asher would call it). Blessings on your day.
You are such an inspiration to me with your commitment to taking control of your health! 🙂

I bought a Nordic Track in 1994 and still have it. My stepson borrowed it a few years back to use at home when he had knee surgery. It pays to hang onto some stuff.

One of the gyms I used to go to had a gazelle. I used it a few times, and kind of liked it. Good for you!

I remember when you got your first one. I think one of those would be too hard on my knees. I prefer my exercycle. Glad you found equipment you like 🙂
