Better Looking
Here are the Pretty Boy sideds to my walking buddies.
This is Lucky. Well named. He will give me an occasional kiss, but not Nelson and Nelson is of the mindset that kisses are what dogs were made for. Besides being a shed machine, Lucky’s greatest fault is that if he gets loose he runs wild. He won’t come when called. And he is an EverReady bunny. We’ve been told that Lucky is part Golden, Collie, and Chow.
This is Spenser, the cowardly pup. Spenser was abused as a pup and is fearful of everything and everybody. Surprisingly for a short-haired dog he sheds a ginormous amount. We’ve loving started joking that we should call him Mullet: business up front and party in the back. His expression is serious to the nth degree, you can only tell he’s happy when his tail wags–which is most of the time. We were told that Spenser is part Lab and Border Collie.
So there you have it. And now I must head out for our morning walk. Going to be a brisk walk in more than one way today. 🙂
Oh I’ve just fallen in love with your dogs. Such wonderful pictures and descriptions! I’m adding you to my bookmarks just for this. Hope the walk was good. It’s pretty brisk here too – but Gracie walks herself – advantage of farm life. I have to build a wood fire in the furnace – disadvantage of farm life.

Pretty rug too! Coordinates with dogs.

Woman in the Moon directed me here and I am glad she did. A pleasure meeting exuberant Lucky and sad-faced but happy-tailed Spenser. Envy you your walking buddies. I have five cats.

They’re so sweet! My girl is not a kisser, either. In fact, she’s not even all that fond of being petted…unless she’s in the mood (and then, she prefers to have her butt rubbed/scratched more than anything else). My neighbors’ short haired dog sheds more than their long-haired ones, too.

Yen and Yang, we all need that in human and dog form as a gentle reminder – all is not as it seems. Nice pups. I bet it also makes for “dynamic” walks. Spencer and Lucky are fitting names for each. If Spencer were a man he’d be a Doc Sorensen and Lucky would be Johnny Carson. Hey, have a great week. Keep searching for that writer/editor opportunity! Namaste~
