Omg look at my neurons.

So I finally was reminded why I’m here. I love microscopes. LOVE THEM. I don’t mean like, light microscopes. I mean big, fancy microscopes. Today I got to use the fluorescent microscope for the first time. And this is what I saw:

Those are 40 day old hippocampal neurons. Blue = nucleus, Green = MAP2 protein (neuronal marker). I have an even more awesome one, but there was mention of using it for something, so it would probably be best not to post it up.

In other news: My sister is coming tomorrow. I’m excited. Thank goodness this week went better than last.</</p
