my two favorite things, shopping and food

We all went to breakfast the next morning in the hotel restaurant. My sister and I split the french toast, and I had a side of wet scrambled eggs and ham. Oh…my…gooosh I can’t say the last time I had eggs and ham! It’s been so long! I might just start eating nothing but breakfast food for a month lol.

After our lovely breakfast we said farewell to Gina and in the parking lot before we left, my mom bumped into two more classmates of hers! 

It was so nice to see how happy the reunion made my mother and how much fun she had, even though she told us that as much as she had fun, it really wore her out and that she probably wouldn’t go to another reunion, I am glad that she finally went to one.

So then we made our way back to Rachels and once we arrived my mom and Kimo took off to Costco to get groceries and what Kimo needed to cook dinner. Rachel and I headed off to JC Penny! It was her and my moms idea that she take me there to help me find some more clubbing clothes. I couldn’t agree more. Any time I have my talented fashionista sister with me I take advantage of it. She’s got a good eye and is very honest.

Surprisingly, I left the store with something that I could never have ever imagined myself wearing until now. I mean I never had a reason or an occasion to dress in something short and tight and sexy. It was a bright purple and white tie dye material over a really super short black form fitting tunic dress. It was so short that the back juuuuust about covers the bottom of my butt and thats it. So of course I have to wear black leggings with it, but WOWZA it is sexy!

I can’t wait to wear it! I’ve never worn anything like that! 

Then we went to Pac Sun because my mom gave us each a little bit of spending money and Pac Sun always has great sales. They actually had a sale that if you buy two t-shirts you get one free and each Tee was about 12 bucks. Yay! So of course I got them, and the best part is that they are super light, perfect for hot weather! 

I also got to buy myself a light zip up cardigan sweater! Finally! I hardly have any cardigans or light sweaters to layer over things so it was the perfect find!

After that we headed back to the house where my mom and Kimo were busy in the kitchen. Everything smelled delightful and I couldn’t wait to see what was on the menu! Kimo is the most wonderful cook! My sister is so lucky to have him! Every time I go over there I eat like a queen! She gets to eat like that all the time! AH! I am so jealous!

He plans on opening his own restaurant there and is already coming up with food items for it. I am really proud of him and I am most certain that dream of his will become a reality.

Soooo for dinner we had lemon honey glazed salmon with sauteed onions and almonds on top, omg sooo good, with rice aaaand….drum roll please….KING CRAB LEGS!!!!

Rachel and I were so schocked and surprised! The last time I had king crab legs was in AK! These were soooo delicious omg. The whole meal delicious and we thanked Kimo graciously.

Kimo even packed me up some leftovers! 😀

Alas my mom and I had to leave that night. We had a full day of plans for Monday and I knew that if we stayed over night we wouldn’t get out until noon from my sisters so it was best that we leave beforehand. We said our goodbyes and of course my mom finds out that she left her pants and some other things there. I thought that for once I had not left anything either, but then alas I realized that my bracelet was missing. Crap.

I can never seem to not lose things or leave things when I travel! If it’s not one thing it’s another! That’s how my favorite tank top and jeans disappeared….probably somewhere in some hotels lost and found, or already donated to a good will.

Okies dokies, tomorrow we look for a couch for the apartment and have lunch with Ryn! Goodnight!
