I met Ryan Styles!

The last 4 years I’ve worked at McCormick Woods there has been a Golf Tournament called the Detlef Schrempf that many local celebrities attend! Well every year I’d be super excited because Ryan Styles, from Who’s Line Is It Anyway, would always go and so every year I would try to hunt him down to meet him! The first year he was there I looked and looked for him and finally someone said they saw him smoking out by the patio, but when I went out there he was no where in sight and had already left. The next year I searched again among the sea of golfers and my coworkers kept saying "Oh I just saw him out smoking" then "Oh I just cleared his plate, he’s sitting at the back table!" then "Oh I think I just saw him leaving" I was running around all  over the place trying to catch him, to no avail.  The third year I didn’t get to work the tournament 😛 . Finally this year I was determined to meet him and get a picture so I searched and searched and whoah hey…isn’t that Jason Mesnick from the Bachelor? OH MY GOSH IT IS! WOW HE’S CUTE! Eh hem okay back to business… wheres Ryan…Ryan Ryan Ryan AH HAH! THERE HE IS! 

I spotted him sitting at a patio table with a small group of people over on the lawn away from everyone else. So of course I grabbed a bussing tray and hurried over to clear plates.

"If you are finished I can get this out of your way!"

He smiled at me and said "Sure yeah I am done. Thank you!"

"Oh you’re welcome ^_^"

Great he really is a nice guy! I knew I had a chance to get a picture with him and I also knew that it was now or never. Soon he would be up and about and I would not be able to find him! I went back into the kitchen to buss the plates and grabbed ahold of my coworker Charity.

"CHARITY! After you’re done bussing those I need you to follow me and take a picture with my cell phone of me and Ryan Styles!"

Charity said "Um are you sure it’s alright? He won’t be upset about it?"

"Oh I am sure it’s fine! Besides I know it’s now or never so I have to at least try!"

So she followed me out there and I swear I started to shake all over because my nerves were getting to me!

"Um…Mr Styles? I don’t mean to be rude, but I am a huge fan of yours from Who’s Line Is It Anyway and well…could I get a picture?"

He immediately said "Sure you can!" and smiled. I was so relieved and so happy!

He is super tall of course so he had to bend way down to be in the picture lol. I made an excited face and put up two peace signs.

"Thank you so much it is so nice to meet you!"

He said "You too!"

AHH! I just got a photo with one of the coolest guys ever!"

Not only that but later when I was bussing dishes outside on the patio He came up to me and said "Thanks for everything you guys are doing a wonderful job!"

I said "No problem! Oh and hey did you ever get on the green screen?"

Ryan said "Oh no I never did that, the animation takes away from the funniness you know? Improv is everything."

I nodded in agreement

"I didn’t watch it when Who’s Line Finished. Why was that show cancelled anyway?"

Ryan "You know I don’t know! But I am sure it will come back someday!" He smiled and turned to go.

WOW WE HAD A CONVERSATION! It felt so natural too to just be talking with him haha. Yeah that pretty much made my day. 🙂
