its raining outside

its raining outside
the sound of it pitter pattering outside my window is comforting
as i sit on my bed
 completely focused on the pages in front of me

suddenly cat jumps up on my lap for attention, jolting me out of my intense zone
i smile
and pat her head

today is a good day. may not have been productive, and reading wasnt on my list of things to do
but im happy passing the time just like this 🙂
