and yet, another good day ^_^

todays weather was just as nice as yesterdays! warm, bright and sunny!  I got up around 11 and my mom and I went and had swedish crepes at the pancake house! Now seriously, ever since I ate swedish crepes for the first time (at IHOP) i’ve been obsessed with making them just as good! At first they started out like flat crispy crunchy things that stuck to the pan, then they were too caky and falling apart. finally i got them to actually stay together and be the right thickness, but they werent as soft as the ones that restaurants serve. FINALLY after experimenting, adding more milk and more eggs, and less of this and that, my crepes starting tasting REALLY GOOD. and whenever I made them for guests, I always got praises and I always never made enough haha. There is finally just one thing that I must learn how to do and I have not yet perfected. Browning the outside of the crepe…..I know this is done with butter, and i’ve tried mixing butter in the batter, and then putting butter in the pan first, but somehow the crepes just would not brown! Today, I realized two things. One, they definitely put more eggs than i do in their crepes, and two, the oven must be at the highest heat when the crepe batter is poured onto the pan! AH HAH! The pan is just not hot enough! I will also have to hold the pan up and move it in circles at the same time as I pour the batter onto the pan, because since the stove will be on the highest heat, the time it will take to pour the batter on the pan and then lift the pan up and move it around will be too long and the batter would have already begun to cook leaving bumps and ridges and a deformed looking figure. Therefore the pan must be in motion at the same time the batter is poured in order to get the perfect flat browned circle. i shall experiment tomorrow! well actually friday. I dont feel like getting up earlier tomorrow. 
 
Anyways after the pancake house, my mom and I went on a few errands and went home where I got out my paints and finished one of my assignments for my watercolor class. It’s my worst painting yet, but at least I finished it. It’s of a city scape. Thing is i’m only good at doing still lifes, I cant draw or paint images from my imagination! So since I didn’t have a picture of a city scape that I owned, I had to make one up. Its crap. Looks like a 12 year old did it. Oh well. I finished the painting and then went upstairs to start cleaning up the mess from hurricane hannah , aka my room.  Its like half done….I really need to clean it though. I feel that once my room is in order, then I will feel more in order lol. Man I wish I wasnt so messy! I don’t even know how it happens! My room is clean, and then little by little it just becomes this…..pig stye. No its not like I have mcdonalds bags and chips and food and old drinks in my room….ew….im not that gross…..It’s mostly papers from different things, clothing tags, receipts, shopping bags, cat toys, clothing, stuffed animals, and random junk that I have no room for. Sigh.

I hope the weather stays nice! Time to go to bed.

omg my mom got a myspace! of course she wouldn’t have one without me because well…shes computer dumb. i mean seriously…..I don’t mean to make fun of my mom….but all the buttons are right in front of her face on the screen. like the one that says "edit profile" and she calls me on my  cell phone "HANNAH! can you come down? I dont know how to get back to the editing page" and so i go down there, and shes on the home page….and I go "mom, where does it say to edit.." then she’s like "ooooh! ok never mind" lol I swear….I showed her how to go to a site and create her myspace profile, and she kept saying "omg hannah how do you know all of this? wow!" lol "because mom it says right there, profile creator, and then when you click on that, there are buttons that say "background, text, tables, etc…" lol its so easy! sigh. oh wells i love my mom haha. man.

well now that she has myspace it’s going to help her learn how to use and navigate the internet correctly!
