disney land and california adventures!
compared to the first morning i felt much more refreshed and less icky and gross! my skin looked a lot better and my eyes were less red and tired looking. it was so freaking hot ! 9am and it was already 85 outside! good thing we had air conditioning! after continental breakfast at the hotel we bought ourselves a day pass (which was only 3 bucks each) for the local busses and before we knew it, we were at disneyland!
the first characters we spotted were pluto and goofy! we got pictures with pluto but the line for goofy was too long a wait and we wanted to go on rides! so we headed over to space mountain. now, space mountain was supposed to be a fun ride like you are gliding through space,…nuh uh. little did i know that it was a fast speed, high drop roller coaster in what is supposed to seem like space, and you cannot tell when its going to drop, turn or pick up speed. yea the stars and stuff were cool but i was terrified! i couldlnt understand how megan loved it so much when she hates roller coasters! any who i was so embarrassed because the whole time on the ride i was yelling out "MEGtAN! MEGAN I WANT OFF! MEGAAAAAANNNN!" and shes going "whoo hooo! yea!" when i think about it , it was really funny. it must have been for everyone to see me with tears in my eyes and shaking so badly that i could not get my seatbelt off lol. after i stopped hyperventalating, i realized that the ride wasnt actually that bad, and if i hadnt perked my adrenaline before the ride even began, i probably would have been able to enjoy it more. eh who knows.
after that we went on the peter pan ride, the small world after all ride (lol had to , its a classic) and circus train, and dumbo ride, and jungle cruise, the john wayne river boat, the haunted mansion, and the matterhorn. we wanted to go on the indiana jones ride and the pirates of the carribean, but sadly, those rides were closed for the day. it was already 7:00 and we hadnt even seen two thirds of disneyland, seriously people, if you are planning on going to disneyland, get a two day pass! its way too big and the lines are too long and its waaaay too hot! you just cant do it all in one day! we wanted to be able to check out california adventures and so we did. i really wanted to go on teh airplane ride but megan was afraid of heights (dont know why since she could go on the roller coaster and that was definitely ten times scarier than a screen in front of you taking you on a tour of california) but i obliged on not going since i didnt want to leave her alone.
the bugs life show was pretty cool though! we had 3d glasses on and made everything seem like it was popping out at us in real life! hopper the eveil grasshopper would come out and order the hornets to sting us and suddenly the lights would go out and we would feel something poke us from behind! which had everyone yelling out in surprise lol. any who it was cool. the last ride we took was a river raft ride which got us soaked but we had a blast! a very fun day indeed of rides, and gorging on bad food lol. afterwards we lounged in the hot tub and then watched law and order till we went to sleep.
Haha, I live like 45 minutes from Disneyland, so I get to go pretty often, and it’s great. =)

ryn: yeah – summer never lasts long enough sadly!! I’ve never been to disneyland but we do disney world every May cause my family has a condo in Florida!! It’s almost like tradition – even though I’m the youngest and about to turn 22 we look forward to it every year 🙂 Sounds like you had an awesome time though!
