Yeah I don’t write that much like ever.

So I had some excitement last week.  Since last Saturday night, I started having some breathing problems, like asthma.  When it had gotten a lot worse by tuesday night, I decided that maaybeeee breathing was important and i Should go to the hospital so that I could breathe.  Taking my inhaler didn’t help in the least.   I went to the HUP emergency room, they did and EKG, a chest x-ray, and a chest scan.  I didn’t really think I had pneumonia because my lungs were pretty clear ( like no wheezing or crunching sounds, characteristic of pneumonia), and the doctors didn’t really have much of a straight answer.  Basically what they told me was that I had an acute upper respiratory tract infection which caused asthma complications.  And WHAT do they do?  Give me another inhaler, after I told them it hadn’t helped.  I mean yeah, it had expired the month before, but they last for a long time even after they expire, so I knew that was fucking ridiculous.

So SURPRISE SURPRISE when I wake up the next day and feel like shit and still cannot breathe.  At this point I was still laboring to actually breathe, so I’m about ready to go back to the hospital because I desperately needed relief.  Luckily, I decided to go to my school health center and see the health peeps there for anything they can do for me.  They check me out; give me a peak flow meter test which shows how forcefully and quickly I can blow out a max amount of air out of my lungs.  Needless to say, it was BAD.  Ultimately, they end up giving me prednisone (aka awesome steroids) and a prescription for advair.  So yay, I didn’t have to go back to the hosiptal because oh mannnn does it suck waiting for 6 hours in a retarded ER with an IV in your arm and crackheads running down the hallway.

Anyway, I ended up just going home home on wednesday night (my dad picked me up) and not going to class wednesday through friday.  I really didn’t start feeling a great deal of relief until saturday, when the steroids reall kicked in and toned down the inflamation I guess.  Even now I still don’t feel back to normal, but so much better than last week.  I can’t even explain how horrible of an experience it is to feel like you can’t even breathe, let alone for several days.  I am like on sooo many drugssssssss right now I feel like I’m gonna pass out, but maybe it’ll help be normal again faster, because hell knows how long until I can actually walk up stairs and not be gasping for air.

Anyywayy, some events in the recent past.  I had my 2 year anniversary with da boyyy and we were boring and didn’t do anything, but oh well, hahaa, that’s our style.  With him working still and me in school, we really don’t/didn’t have much time anyway.  He will be staying with me a lot though starting next week because he’s done with his co-op and starting classes again, so I am exciteddddd.  My birthday is also in like 3 weeks, so that will be cool I guess.  Nothing too special about 20, except maybe that I won’t be a teenager anymore.  So weeirdddd.  Anyway, I’ll try to update when actually interesting/eventful things happen.
