For what it’s worth.
Today has been a better day, better than yesterday at least. I’m helping my sister get her garage in order. Which means that I had to put together two metro shelves…When I started working at Seattle’s Best Coffee years ago I had to put together about ten of those my first week and since then put together about 50 more. I’m glad to have my sister and I’m very happy to help her but putting together those damn shelves is up there with getting my teeth drilled on my list least favorite things to do that I wish to do. I will never put together one of those for myself. It’s repetitive, which I can handle but it’s probably that it reminds me of that job on the whole, how it ended with me getting fired after doing extra work that I never got paid for. I trained every level of manager for several districts on company values and how to do everything that goes on in the store. I transferred to a Seattle store on after about two months I had seen things that should have gotten the manager and assistant manager fired. I told people about what she had done and nothing happened. She routinely got people fired that didn’t get along with her or had the spirit enough to tell her what she thought of them. One co worker threw a danish at her head. She got high fives when she came to the store to clean out her locker. I got fired a month before her and the assistant manager did. I was late three times, once was because I was sleeping with a very bad decision in my life named Kayla and she turned my alarm off…I was supposed to be there at 415 in the morning and I woke up at six. Once because I got a DUI on the fourth of July and was in jail (also a result of me sleeping with someone I shouldn’t have), I was ten minutes late and hadn’t slept all night. Once I was just held up in traffic. A month later I found out that she got canned. Part of why she got fired is for intentionally not mentioning that someone left the front door to the store unlocked. The store was in one of the worst areas in downtown Seattle. The AM left the door unlocked. A week later of her closing the store and me opening it I see that the lock on our side door is broken and she wasn’t doing anything to fix it. I go to close the store after two days off and have to sit in the cafe for four extra hours to wait for a locksmith and almost the last bus home. Another time she left all the money in the registers. We had a milk delivery and the milk man very easily could have stolen it but left a note saying he saw it and didn’t touch it. Three things by the same person, not fired. I’m late three times. Canned. Fuck you SBC.
I’m watching the show Terriers and making tacos with Audrey. I hope I sleep better tonight. I think I’m going to go find out if I can get a prescription for Trazadone or something.Best of wishes to you all. I’m going to go do something to take my mind off things.
I can’t sleep either đŸ™‚
