Thanksgiving

I’m sitting here in my office while the hospital is a virtual ghost town! Haha, other people chose to take this day off in addition to Thursday and Friday, so essentially they’ll have a 5-day weekend. I’ll be lucky to get a 3-day weekend this week, that being Thurs, Fri, and Sat. I may have to come into work on Sun due to the new shorthandedness we have with the Senior Accountant leaving

I’m salary, so me showing up here means I’m here for the 8-hour day regardless when I leave. I’m saving my PTO time for when the baby gets here. Since there’s so many damn ‘Thankful’ entries floating around, I’ll just say I’m most thankful for my wife having a healthy pregnancy so far

I’ll probably leave here in an hour or so. By the time I’m in the office again it’ll be December. I’m sure my son will make his entrance into the world in December, even though the due date is Jan. 3rd. It’s just mind-boggling to me how soon it is!

I guess I can also say I’m thankful for my boss. Despite how insanely short-staffed we will now be (I virtually am his staff, just me!), he understands that I will take a week off to be with my newborn son regardless when it is. Even if it is during the busiest time of either of our careers

moral of the story: Happy Thanksgiving! Or as I refer to it: Christmas Lite. It basically is Xmas, minus the gift giving. Except for my sis-in-law’s family. They exchange gifts for every holiday. Including Thanksgiving. Incuding Easter. I don’t know whether to get her 8 Hanukkah gifts leading up to Xmas and write "Happy Kwanzaa" on the card with a "Happy New Year!" balloon

Have a Nice Day!
