Finished my Xmas shopping!
I’m not even thinking about Thanksgiving yet and I’ve finished my Xmas shopping! Well, it’s not entirely true… for one, I never think about Thanksgiving. To me, it’s pretty much the same holiday as Xmas minus the gift exchanging
Family get together, buffet of food including turkey and stuffing, everyone is off from work or school. Yep, same exact holiday minus the gift exchanging
And no, it’s not because I’m greedy and need gifts given to me. I love giving gifts too. I always give the good gifts. Not simple items either, actual thoughtful gifts. But I can’t help but notice it’s two holidays back to back, just too similar to each other
Anyways, so I’m not really done Xmas shopping. However I’ve filled my Amazon shopping cart with everything I’m getting everyone, haha. Minus the wife, of course she gets special stuff that you don’t shop Amazon for. I’m just waiting until this current credit card billing period ends to pull the trigger and get the stuff purchased. I even have backup plans in case those items currently in my cart sell out by then
A lot of people, including my own family, think I’m richer than I actually am. I’m only in the middle class like a lot of people. I’m just smarter with my spending. I couldn’t have gotten a Finance degree without learning anything! 😛 I have it all organized, how much of my paycheck goes to savings, how much I can freely spend, and when and how much to use my credit card for. And I always pay my credit card bill entirely on time
It’s funny this one time I was talking to my boss. We were going over the hospital’s finances and our schedule for month end close. And I don’t remember how it came up, but he was basically saying we could relax about certain reports and relating it to how "none of us really pay the whole credit card bill on time", or something like that
But I do, and I figured since you’re the Comptroller you should have that engrained in your head too. Oh well, my wife and I have great credit scores
Anyways, I’m distracted. My point was I did all my "shopping" on Amazon and I have a huge shopping cart waiting to be purchased! Haha, oh the convenience of online shopping. I’m happy my wife is pregnant right now, she doesn’t have the will to go Black Friday shopping. I hated that, I’ve only gone with my wife. I’ve never cared to be in such a crowd of people. There are good deals, but the huge crowds and huge lines. I don’t think it’s worth it
moral of the story: I will always choose a lazy person to do a difficult job. Because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it
Have a Nice Day!
