Work hard, work hard

Last Friday was the last day of the month end close time for us accountants. That’s where we work our asses off on financial reports and journal entries for the previous month’s stats. It’s the main reason we make the money we do, haha. So with that hard work out of the way, I was free for the weekend to…. work hard!

Friday night I spent cleaning the house because my wife randomly wanted the house clean. Then Saturday I spent working on the yard, which is odd because it involved me getting dirt all over me so it would get back in the house. And Sunday I spent building more furniture for the nursery

Oh and Sunday it rained hard so all the work on the yard may have been ruined. I didn’t bother checking because that’d piss me off to see, haha

One thing I have not adjusted to in married life is the wife’s nagging over chores or projects she wants done. Trying to relax and unwind after work, my wife will randomly stop a conversation to throw in a quick "oh by the way, this needs to be done", "we have to do this tomorrow", or "I want to get this done this weekend or we won’t have time to do it". That last one just confuses me. We have to get this done this weekend or we won’t have time to? Like ever? There’s an expiration date on whatever materials it involves so they’d disinegrate and we’d miss our chance to complete that project? haha

I just think it’s cold-hearted when she does this on days I’ve come home real pissed at work because the CFO keeps throwing side projects at me or people trying to pass work on me that they should be doing themselves

My biggest pet peeve with my wife’s need for a clean house is she wants it clean before we have a party. That to me is illogical

I could understand making it look decent. Quick spot cleaning and putting away things. But to make everything look perfect before 20-30 people come over and make a mess and then clean everything perfectly again? It boggles my mind…

When I do clean, I put on my Dre Beats and the first song I play is "Naggin" by the Ying Yang Twins 😛
