Every 4 years (including this one, 2012) comes a big event for the US. The citizens who choose to participate in or to witness its process fill with national pride and during these couple weeks we are once again a country united…

That event is called The Summer Olympics

Every 4 years (including this one, 2012) comes a big event for the US. The citizens who choose to participate in or to witness its process divide themselves from each other, build up bitterness towards each other and insult others based on lies (and some truths) told to them and padded stats to fuel the fire, and during these couple weeks we are once again a country divided…

That event is called the Presidential Election

moral of the story: Yes we are privileged with the right to vote. And I understand all that people sacrificed in the past to give me this right to proudly pick a side, don a certain color (red/blue), despise/laugh at/balk at anyone who wears the opposing colors, and view territories as a "red or blue state". But I have chosen not to be initiated into a gang… *sarcastic humor*
