focus on the charity…
Before I even got to my office on Monday morning, there’s a dude waiting for me in the hallway to piss me off. He had told someone in my dept last week that he’ll get in touch with me sometime to arrange when workers will come in to fix my office and the pipes in the ceilings. Yet Monday morning he shows up and tells me they’re here to start. I was thinking, "What the fuck? When did I agree to this?" Plus it was Monday morning, I’m not in an ideal mood to talk about leaving my office
Especially during the month end close period, this is the busiest time. It’s pretty much hell week for us already. So I told him I’d need my office Monday, and I’d move to my old one by the end of the day. Which I didn’t, at least not fully. Just took the stuff I needed to proceed with my work week and they’ll have to figure out what to do with everything else
And it seems everybody is going out of their way to further frustrate me. Everyone has some kind of problem that they can’t fix on their own and want my help. Blah, I’ve been brushing them all off and telling them to figure it out on their own
Luckily I’ve been running in the mornings again, my body’s too tired to really get angry, haha. And I’m maintaining my good spirits by remembering the charities I decided to get into over the weekend
One is I’m going to sponsor a child from my home country of the Philippines! I’ve always wanted to do that, I’ll be using the same charity that the great Mick Foley uses! And remember, Foley is Good! 😛
Also I’m building a team to run in The Color Run. Their charity is to help combat veterans deal with post tramatic syndrome. Plus it’s a 5k, I’ve been wanting to do one. The gimmick in a "Color Run" is there are 5 different "color zones". When you run in those zones, you pretty much get swarmed by workers/volunteers with color. And at the end, you’ll be pretty much tye dye from head to toe, haha
moral of the story: I like to give back to the community, but I don’t take shit from co-workers…. 😛
Have a Nice Day!
