End MS2

Finished my second year of medical school last week. Finals went surprisingly well (although I didn’t think so at the time). A touch jealous of my straight-MD classmates who’re done with classes forever. But, this is the business we’ve chosen, right?

After our last exam on Friday we had a mini birthday party for L in the park by the hospital. She brought her husky along – so much energy! I’ve been seeing a lot more of L now that she’s single and pursuing D. Personally, I find it disconcerting that she’s going after him so hard, when she just got out of a serious relationship (lived with her ex for over a year) mere weeks ago. And it’s not as if there was any overlap with D there – she barely knows him. At first I thought she’d be a good match (much better than N or E or any other crazy girl who’s had her eye on D), but now that I’m getting to know her, I’m having second thoughts. Not that it’s any of my business. And before you ask, yes, I’ve considered the possibility that I’m a little jealous, but I really don’t think that’s it. She can be a bit pushy, but overall I don’t mind her hanging around. It doesn’t hurt that she’s an amazing cook and has made food for our entire study group several times. It’s kind of a shame D’s not interested (story for another day).

 [edit next day]

4:00 am. Went out to a desert place to celebrate L’s birthday proper, then to the bar down the street, then to a club. I’m tired. Club was crowded as fuck, but it was alright.
