Resolutions 2011
Last year I made a whopping 10 resolutions and succeeded at maybe 2.5 of them. This year I’m being more judicious and narrowing it down to 3:
1. DO THINGS ON TIME (bills, taxes, mechanics, doctor’s visits) like a real adult.
2. Have 12 grand in my savings account by the end of the year (a challenge, but doable)
3. Exercise (yup, it never fails to make the list!)
As a random aside, I found out The Boy was planning on gifting me a GPS, since a while back I mentioned that I’d drive a lot more if I had one (so sweet!!!). If only I had picked up on this fact before we had a 20 minute debate in which I argued fiercely that the GPS built into the smartphone I’m buying will make a regular GPS redundant. He kept outlining the merits of a good old Garmin, like the dashboard attachment and I had no idea why! lol. I feel like a jackass because I really just didn’t want to admit that my smartphone may not be enough, and now I’ve talked my way out of a GPS. Oh well. I also almost talked my way out of a New Yorker subscription that both he and I were planning on getting me, but not quite!
OK, I should go shower and pack for my flight tomorrow. Let the New Year begin.
Thanks for the note! Happy new year to you too 🙂 And btw, love the OD name (my bio major didn’t fail me completely!, LOL)
