Nasty Cold

I have a nasty cold and  I just wanted to document it here so that I knew when I had one last.  My last cold I had was in January of 2008 almost two years ago.  I thought I could make it but lucked out in the home stretch.  I won’t complain since it has been a while and most people I have been talking to have had the flu.  Just hope it doesn’t turn into that. Although if I am going to get the flu now is the right time to do it. 

Getting ready for the busy season at work.  Just wondering how many hours they will allow us this season.  They have cut out so much I bet it won’t be many more.  They will assume all the Walmart associates will do our job.  Wrong but we will let them think it. 

My little nephew is turning one in November and my son is so facinated with him.  My son will be 21 in December, and he always says when he sees my nephew, "I want one."  Your day will come my dear but not for a few more years.  He is just getting ready to apply to Pharmacy schools.  We are hoping he can stay in Fargo and he gets accepted there. Since that is where he is.  He has finished his pre-pharmacy work and says if he can’t get into that program he might try to be a Radiologist since they require the same training before being accepted.  It is very exspensive to be a Dr. in these schools.  Average tuition is around $30K a year.  And your 4th year you don’t even go to school you are doing your internship and you pay the most for tuition close to $40K.  That kid will have a lot of student loan debt because we didn’t save that much for his tuition.  Never dreamed I would have a kid who wanted to be a Dr.  I don’t give him much advice anymore he already is smarter than I am! LOL

Our other son is going to school to be a police officer and seems to be enjoying it.  He has picked up a bad habbit of smoking.  I am like are you crazy? Don’t you know what kind of physical test you have to take to get on any police force? He always learns the hard way.  Probably alot like me. 

Raining here and it has been a very snowy October.  Can’t believe how much snow we had.  Is it too soon to think that maybe that is all the snow we will have?  I don’t think so.  It’s been a rainy if not snowy month too.  Hardly ever saw the sun!  It’s depressing.  But it looks like next week we may see the sun for a few days in a row.

I must close for now and take a nap or something to feel better.  I have been fighting this cold for a week now and today is the worse it has been.  I thought I had it beat.  Everyone I have talked to said that you get a cold and a couple of weeks later it is back.  That is what I am thinking is going on.
