Melting………

I am so excited about all the snow melting.  It got warm here over the weekend and Monday it was close to 50.  We have not had any kind of melting at all this winter.  Actually we just went 34 days where it never got above freezing.  Burrrr…enough of that.  So alot of the snow has melted and we can actually see grass.  So nice.

I even pulled my little snowmen that I had decorating the front yard for X-mas up and they pulled right out of the ground.  Thought they might be there until at least Easter.

I am getting a little more excited about Mexico. I am just worried about getting sick and the boys getting sick while we are there.  My friend told us you will get sick.  I am going to ask the Dr. if there is anything we can take to make it go away quicker. I guess it lasts about 24 hours.  I read a bunch of people who have been to the resort and left messages.  They all said it is a beautiful resort and everything was fine but everyone in their party got the intestinal thing.  I just don’t want it on the flight back or on the shuttle ride.  Don’t want to be going pooey in my pants!  Sorry TMI!

I worry to much about things and then end up having a great time.  We will be returning on my birthday so I am looking forward to having the weekend with the boys.  Our older son probably won’t be back home again until school is out for the semster sometime in May. So I am looking forward to having a nice quiet (I hope), uneventful vacation.  It’s been about 2 years since we went on vacation or since I have even taken any time off for a vacation.  So please let it be fun and relaxing.

Work is going good.  I got a strange voicemail this morning that said all full time reps are going to work 40 hours next week.  They have always been responsible for 44 hours a week.  So I am hoping I get some hours next week or else I will be mad. Still waiting to hear back from my manager as to how many hours I will get.

Hubby had is evaluation last week and it didn’t go very well.  They are buys thru this year so he feels confident in he will make thru this year but after that no so confident.  How many other people by that time will be looking for a job too?  We always knew he would never retire from this job, but I never thought he would be let go when the economy was so bad.

There is one business in town that is expanding and adding 150 jobs.  It is the Nestle plant in town.  They are putting on a 250,000 S.F. addition.  So that is good news for our city.  Although then after that they informed us that another large employer was knocking off 60 people.  Not good news.  We have another plant that pays well, Hutchinson Technology that just laid off 200 people.  They do that one year they are short of people and then the next they are laying people off.  The high tech world either you are busy or not.

Went out to dinner with my 2 best friends last night.  That is always fun.  We all get to vent about everything which is good.

Well I better go switch my laundry thanks for listening to me.

Be sure not to drink the water in Mexico – this includes getting the ice!! They say that’s why people who were in my group got so sick. They didn’t drink the water, but had ice in their sodas. I hope you have a wonderful time with no problems and get some much needed rest and fun!!
