I Quit!
Last week I walked out on one of my jobs. Just had it with everything and everyone not doing their jobs! Why is it this country is so full of lazy working people. They just don’t get it. So I bed farewell and am just working my merchandising job two days a week. I am bored out of my mind since I worked last Tuesday and don’t work again until tomorrow. A whole week off and nothing to do. I am not one to sit around. I have checked the want ads and not much in it. Plus now all the college kids are looking for work too. Most of them just want part time or go home for the summer or they take resteraunt jobs . Sorry I wish I could be a waitress but I am way to clumbsy. I would only work in nice resteraunts though and we all know you only work for your tips in the resteraunt business. I think around here they pay like $2.33 an hour and those girls run their butts off!
So I guess I will just sit around and wait and see what happens. Hubby still doesn’t know. Not sure if he will be mad or not. It was nice working two jobs because I saved one check and spent the other. But if I get another job it will be 30 hours a week at least and may just quit the two day a week job I have. I need to start reaping in benefits like vacation, sick days, retirement, health insurance if possible. Anyway, my last couple of jobs were by word of mouth so I am just watching and listening around me to see if I hear or see of anything.
I have quite a bit of money stashed so I am ok there unless hubby decides he hates his job just as much as I did. Then we will be hurting and I would have had to find a full time job anyway. Neither of my jobs offer benefits or insurance of a chance to work more hours.
Our older son is home for the summer from college. He is going to apply for a job today at Menards. They are headquartered in our city. They are always looking for people in the distribution center and it’s not far from here. The pay is excellent and he needs to pay rent all summer back in Fargo since he has a house with a bunch of guys. With the price of gas at ($3.74)the last time I looked, he needs to find something quick. We have five cars and maybe we should get rid of one. Hubby drives one of his cars once in a while and it takes the exspensive gas. I bet it’s over $4 a gallon by now. That would lower our insurance bill too until we can get the little crumbsnatchers on their own. LOL
Not much else happening around here that is why I haven’t updated. Well that and I was working six days a week. Well back to the old grind. Cleaning while I have a chance it has been neglected for a while.
Have a wonderful day!

You should tell your husband you quit…I know I would hate to not know if my husband quit his job. Even tho you may not be the bread winner with benefits, it is a matter of honest and open communications.

Yeah–glad your son is home for the summer! I don’t return to school until August 25, and it seems FOREVER to me! I’m bored already! Our gas is $3.79 for the cheap stuff and $3.99 for the good stuff. It’s crazy, I tell you!

RYN: Yep, the “baby” will be in third grade in the fall–can you believe it? And I don’t feel old enough to possibly have one graduating this year too! Hugs,

ryn: I still have until July. They make us do graduation in May though. But the last three classes they say are very easy, that if you fail them it is because you want to.

I am looking forward to going back to work. I was hoping we would have the house sold by now & be on our way to AZ but nothing yet. I hope we have a contract by the weekend. We have people going to the bank this week so I Pray that is fruitful for us. Please God let it be so. I look forward to going back to work, I’m ready. I hope youve found something more to your taste by now.
