Wow I guess it’s been a while.

I just looked and it was the end of March when I last wrote.  Not much happening though so not much to update.
Just got done talking with my older son.  He will be done with his first year of college in 3 weeks!  I can’t believe it.  He is moving into a house with 4 other guys the beginning of May.  He is coming home for the summer though.  So he will still have to pay rent while he is here.  I guess a couple of guys will be living there for the summer but not everyone!
It has gotten a bit warmer around here.  The snow has finally melted after a very long winter.  We had snow in November and just had out last snow hopefully for the season last Friday.  I hope spring is finally here.  It has been raining the last couple of days and looks that way for the next few days.  But temps in the 70’s by Sunday will be welcome.
Been working alot but took some time off today and this weekend.  Have alot going on.  My neice has an art show for college this weekend and will be graduating in a couple of weeks.  We have a school fund raiser tomorrow morning and then a bowling tournement tomorrow afternoon.  Then on Sunday we are supposed to go to a  kid down the street is being rewarded or whatever they do to become and Eagle Scout.  I told his mom we will not be attending.  Seems like alot since the kid graduates in another month from high school and there is a party then too.  Plus do I get something for a kid that becomes a Eagle Scout?  And if so what?  I have never been to one of those events.  I just told his mom to tell him congratulations.
Then his sister is graduating from college and they are having his graduation and her graduation the same day!  I didn’t plan on attending her graduation but now i have no choice.  What do you get someone who graduates from college. I wouldn’t invited neighbors I would just invited family for the college graduation.  What next then you are invited to all the showers, the weddings the baby showers.  I mean come on I don’t know these people that well.  My son hangs out with their son.  All of a sudden I am invited to all these events!
Any advice is welcome.  I think maybe I will just give her a card and that is it for her graduation.  I don’t plan on having a graduation party for my son when he graduates from college.  Well maybe with our family but I won’t invited friends because then they feel the need to give something.  I don’t like that.  Am I wrong?  Not that I don’t want to give anything but geeze where does it end?
Anyway on other notes, still working both jobs even though I really think one has to go.  The money is nice and now I don’t think I can get by on one job.  One job is only 14 hours a week and the other is how ever many hours I want but I hate the job.  So I only work about 14 hours a week there.  I keep looking for other jobs but am not having any luck.  Plus this job pays half way decent so who knows.
Well better do some more laundry it’s going to be a busy weekend.

ryn: You’ll LOVE this then! I tell him I’m going out with a girlfriend for some drinks after work and his EXACT words are, “Well, I don’t want you driving home after drinking so you should get a hotel room somewhere.” Brilliant!! Yeah, I’m good like that *winks*

I would go to the party & give a congratulations card. It’s nice to give recognition for a job seen through to the end. I wouldn’t worry about a gift.
