UPDATE….

I am loving my nannying job! The kids are adorable, and it is just an overall perfect fit for me. I spend most of the day with Maverick (4) and Megan (1) while Zack(7)
is at school. Mav is hilarious. Today he was telling me about Disney Land and how you can ride the tram all over the park, but he told me you could ride the tramp all over the park.   He has the cutest voice ever! He starts every word at one octave and then it seems to end at a higher octave. Sooo cute. I will be sad when this job ends next week.

The fires in Cali are crazy. The nearest ones to us are about 40 minutes away. Twelve families from our congregation lost their homes. It smells like a huge bonfire outside and you see tons of smoke in the distance. Apparently this happens at this time every year in California, although it’s much worse this year. I have never seen anything like it.

Since I have been babysitting for the boob job lady(Kim) I find myself checking out everyone’s boobs to assess whether or not they have gotten theirs done. I never ever gave it a second thought before. The other day Kim showed me her new boobs. She wanted to know if the nipples were even. How was I supposed to respond to that?!? It’s funny though…all of her friends have been coming over to check them out.

I found out that a casual friend from college lost his girlfriend of a year last week. She had a heart defect that had never been detected, and she just died so unexpectedly.  I haven’t talked to the guy (Jake) in years, but I can’t stop thinking about him now. I couldn’t imagine going through something like that. Such a sad situation.

Will and I are having a Halloween party tomorrow night….mostly, well all of his friends. Should be interesting….
