Washed clean

I woke up this morning to a sound that put a smile on my face. Rain on the roof and the sidewalk outside the open window.

The world outside took its shower while I took mine.

Walking across the parking lot to the school (I parked in the back row today, even though there were spaces in front) I took my time. Face upturned and grinning, I nearly ran into a parked car. My colleagues looked at me out of the corners of their eyes clearly not understanding my behavior as I wandered towards the building while they scurried.

For the first time in the last 4 years, this feels like home, and all it took was a little rain to wash this place clean.

Hopefully nobody started rumors about you being drunk in the parking lot. 😉
