The Princess Bride
So, I recently read The Princess Bride and I must say it was one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve ever had reading a book. I would go into the details of why but it might spoil the experience for others who haven’t read it yet. One element that won’t spoil it for others was that I read half of it at bus stops, which is a wonderful way to read a book.
So, if anyone’s read it, I’d be curious to see if the experience was exclusive to me or not. Or if you are intrigued, read it and get back to me. I’m not sure if I’m alone on this. Anyway, just felt like sharing how amazing a process it was.
Is it really that good? I heard it was a chick- flick book

chick flick my sexy ass. but sidenote: I think for the best experience, one should first become acquainted with the movie a bit. Odd to say. Normally book before movie. But this case is an exception I believe… for the best experience that is. -David.

I’d like to get it as a book on tape as read by Peter Falk.

I think I saw that movie playing on TV, but I didn’t watch it because it was almost over. What is the book about? take care, Casey

i saw that somewhere the other day and wondered if it was as good as the movie. now i’ll have to pick it up and see what the buzz is all about. trips to the bookstore… as fun as trips to the dentist are terrifying.

it seems that most people either love it or don’t get it.

Okay, so I thought the movie was highly amusing but had no idea it was a book, unless the book just happens to have the same title as the film? Indulge me, I’m confused.

i’ve thought about reading it but never actually have. my friends, of course, love the movie, but it’s never really been one of my favorites (i mean, i enjoy watching it, but i think i saw it for the first time too late). but if you say it’s good i’ll try it : )

Wonderful book! Better than the movie. (Though the movie was a strikingly good adaptation, since it was by the same guy.)

i appreciate the advice on the girlfriend subject. luckily i grew some confidence in myself and my relationship’s stability while being with Sara over new years and i’m not so doubtful of myself now. and spending time with friends is definitely something i need to pay more attention to. for the most part though, things are going pretty well on both fronts. happy new year, david.

i was in a book shop yesterday spending forever trying to find something to read…. and the whole time i was thinking of you because in the past you have recommended some (what sound like) great books to me and i couldn’t for the life of me remember any of them. i almost drove myself mad.

ryn: sorry. next time it will be more akin to girls gone wild.

ryn: I know! I was all excited and stuff, but figured that saying “heey, I’ve read this before!” might get my smacked upside the head. Shucks.

RYN: oooooo. There’s a club? I hope there are t-shirts. ~

nah, i made the graphic entry private. it was all about how i rid myself of some kind of infection-looking substance. it was pretty gross, but i was so enthralled by the whole process that i had to write it down. i guess nobody else was as enthralled as i was.

Guess where I’m going tomorrow for five days? Sunny California. San Fran, Santa Cruz, and San Jose. My geography is horrible, but is that close to you? Email me, biatch.
