My Great Idea.
I was reading another article about how people in the South want to teach creationism is high school science classes. They claim that the current curriculum is one sided. In many textbooks, there is now a disclaimer that says, in essence, "The theory regarding the creation of life in this book is only one of many."
And I thought to myself, "What a great idea! Let’s teach creationism in public high schools!" *smirks*
But then, that wouldn’t be very fair, would it? Making high school biology teachers lecture on creationism seems like a lot of extra work. So, here’s my great idea:
Let’s teach evolution and darwinism in Sunday school and bible study.
It’s only fair that if high school biology must integrate the bible, then churches must integrate science, yes? So let’s start printing in the bible "The theory regarding the creation of life presented in this book are only one of many."
If the church people want to push their religion on us, then it is time for us to push back. Put science into the churches. If we can’t keep the two separate, then we might as well integrate them fully.
