Pride
When did my pride grow so?
I’ve wanted to not be that guy,
Bt now I find my self getting mad
I feel anger
Sometimes it’s worse
I didn’t really Agree to any of this
It just happened
A tree grows where it will
So has my life
Looking back this isn’t what I planned
This isn’t the garden I wanted
NOw I can’t imagine anything else
The branches I’ve pruned
The fertilizer I’ve spread
I’ve created
And this life will not be unmade
When did my pride grow
When did I learn to see such a thing?
the monster that grows is strong
The beast that we can become
Can become who we are

Losing yourself to yourself
It’s a garden gone wild
The orchard returned to the woods
When did my pride grow?
I don’t know, but its just a part of who I am
And the garden needs tending
