There’s a strange woman standing on my desk.ohwell
Random Story of My Life
The one overhead lamp in my room burned out last night. It didn’t give much warning. I went to flip it off on my way out for dinner and CRACK, it popped (yes I realize those are too contradicting onomonopia) and died. No worries, much. I have a desk lamp and a string of mini colored Christmas lights decking my wall, not to mention a laptop monitor glow. Together they light my Bat Cave in a reclusive dim. When it comes to finding matching socks*, a lighted cave is useful.
I dutifully logged a claim into facilities for a light bulb change. I noted "OK if you enter while I am not here" because life is easier that way. I didn’t even bother to lock up my xbox this time (although I thought about it). Come to find out that facilities starts its day at 8am. My first class Tuesdays is at 10am, so I blatantly ignored the soft knocking on our front door at 8.15 this morning.
I was still in a semi dream about going to class when I vaguely registered a woman walking unlocking our front door and walking into my room. "Oh. Hi." I sat up. "Oh! I didn’t mean to wake you up." "No problem. It’s the overhead light." She left because she didn’t have the right size bulb and promised she’d come back later.
I was asleep before she locked the door on her way out.
*Who am I kidding? 99% of my socks have designs of some sort and I’ve lost quite a few of the matching mates to the laundry room (bloody clothes stick to the washer ceilings and if you’re not careful it’s easy to leave stragglers in the machines without realizing it).
Life.
That would be strange as hell to have someone randomly coming in to change a lightbulb. I forgot what else I was going to say. ryn; They test any driving situation they can, such as cellphone use. They just program the situation in and run it. I’ll try and get a pic of the simulator.
