i dont know what this says about me, but my crushes have completely flipped on the L Word. Well, okay, Shane I could never turn on.

I’ve been smelling pot since the Post Post concert on thursday. it probably has something to do with the first time i saw someone smoking pot up close and finally fitting an action with a disgusting smell. Of course if I ever needed a mind altering substance be it pot or alcohol this weekend might have been a good time.

So pissed that I’m not in an area that’s throwing some big Prop 8 protests. San Diego had 25k. Give them hell. ** Actually, I’m sure there’s some rallies going on in Philly but it’s been raining hell down here since Friday. I haven’t been out of my dorm for a meal since Saturday Brunch. I’ve been living off goldfish, orange juice, and godiva chocolate.*

*So my dad entered a Home Recipe contest my college hosted. He won because the man fell into the wrong universe and shouldv’e been a cook so he’d satisfy his many customers with pinapple and mushroom pancakes rather than heap it on my terribly select taste buds (not that I don’t love some of his food). So the reward was a plaque and a huge basket with a load of elite chocolate shit. What the hell happened to simple milk chocolate? Cheese and crackers, dark chocolate pretezels, truffles, a cheese fork, coffee, lady fingers, wafers. Crap my previously mentioned delicate tongue doesn’t quite take to. It came in a huge basket that I had to carry across campus in a Christmas Story winter coat style. Ridiculous.

In my opinion. Marriage is a word. It is a word like black and white means something specific to everyone in every language. This war on marriage is like the war on terror – war on a word. The Yes on Prop 8 folks are trying to copywrite Marriage as their own. You can’t suddenly decide that "wave" means only the ocean wave rather than the action. The Yes on Prop 8 community went about their campaign in the wrong way. If it’s the schools they worry about they should focus only on the schools – that people can sign their kids out of school when they teach about homosexuality and gay marriage. Redefining equality is NOT the way to go.
