sawyer comparison *quake???

*we experienced an earthquake in ontario today! that’s crazy. now i can cross that off my list of things to experience, i guess. LOL. can they make you feel dizzy? i felt kind of off for a while after.

he has grown quite a bit his first year of school 🙂 you can see his face is less babyish. today is his last day!! i am so thankful for the town summer program. he’ll have that to do from 9-11:30 until august 20, starting july 5. he gets BORED. i’m so glad he was right under the cutoof for the age to go to school (they start at age 4 here but he was still 3.5 but they have to be 4 by the cutoff which is dec. 31 and his bday is one day before.)  i can’t imagine if i had to keep him home another year!! i don’t know how mamas who have to keep the kids home til age 5 do it. you mamas deserve an award. he was SO ready.

He is looking so grown up, such a cutie :o) x

His face does look less babyish!

June 23, 2010

I was going to say he doesn’t have such a baby face anymore! Such a cutie!

Neat comparison 🙂 I think younger ages are great for pre-K but I wish they would raise the age requirements for kinder in california. The younger kids (four year olds) are so lost with all of our standards and requirements, and then they took all the fun out of kinder too. They either need to put the fun back in or raise the age to five. I don’t know how it is in Canada – probably better than here since we always rate really low with other regions.

So grown up!

June 23, 2010

cuteness! he does look older!

June 23, 2010

It made me feel kind of dizzy, kind of nauseous… very freaky being on the fifth floor of a glass building with very few doorways!!

June 23, 2010

wow he has grown up so much!!!

June 23, 2010

Here they have to be age 5 for *real* school, but pre-school is from age 3-4, even 5 IF you have a child that is just not ready for big-kid school. He’s so cute! They have earthquakes there I’ve heard (been told anyway) but nothing big enough to notice most times. We’ve had them here (in NS) but I’ve never felt one! lol

He is very cute.

We felt an earth tremor a few years ago, I didn’t like it at all, made me feel all weird x

June 23, 2010

I <3 his smile 🙂

June 23, 2010

yup he definitely has grown! I love how he’s sitting on his backpack like that 🙂 and he even has the same or similar shorts in each pic!

The cut-off for starting school in my state is April 31st of the year they start (or 4yrs 8mths old)our school year starts at the end of January!), so most of the children I teach are turning 4 or 5 the year I’m with them. With children who are born near the cut-off date there’s a current trend in Victoria to start their children the following year. Most children cope okay with the transition from preschool to school, but for some it’s overwhelming (I usually have 2-3/25 come back per year!) RYN: I was trying to find a You Tube link to the ‘Wiggly Woo’ song but all I found was a poxy UK version sung by a woman (our version is Australian and sung by a man; ours came first)

RYN: We have more in common with the Canadian system than the one in the US. So yes, I understand. 😉 Also yes, a lot of medications… I’ll get through it, documenting the process is part of the way I hope with the situation. 🙂

June 23, 2010

Awww he does look less baby-ish 🙁 Apparently people here in central Ohio felt the quake too but I didn’t feel anything. Bummer. RYN: You know I really didn’t even noticed how crowed it was last time. It had to because they had the damn thing showing on like 6 screens there, but we were among the first there so we got in our seats before the bulk of the crowd even arrived. That’sthe way to do it! This time they’re showing Twilight AND New Moon before Eclipse so we’ll be sitting there for oh about 8 hours total, but we’ll have the best seats 🙂

June 23, 2010

I understand – I just didn’t realize you don’t count our preschool system as school.

June 24, 2010

Ryn: Kaleigh has managed to learn quite a bit, the music teacher does french in song and numbers, etc. Not *real* structured classes but bits and pieces.

June 24, 2010

RYN: I don’t know, it’s so weird – When I picture myself in my mind’s eye, I don’t see how I am now. Even looking in the mirror is not the same as seeing a picture – I can’t even explain it!! Trust me, I have belly fat and my thighs are big they are just hidden well in those pants, I think.

June 24, 2010

I’m glad it wasn’t a really bad earthquake! Weird because I just watched 2012 last night and it had a lot of earthquakes in it. 😛 RE: Thanks. But no man could ever make me forget Mike. I know that nobody really understands how much love I have for him, and that’s okay. I don’t expect anyone to.

June 24, 2010

RYN: The girls are AWESOME. It’s why I keep going back–they are so supportive and encouraging 🙂 We just upgraded to twenty minutes of hell from ten minutes of hell. We will end up at 30 minutes of hell lol

June 24, 2010

He’s definitely grown. I can still remember when he was a baby. Cuute! I definitely thought about you yesterday when I saw that on the news! I just didn’t know if it had affected you and apparently it did! I’ve never experienced that and I never want to. Scewy!!!

June 25, 2010

RYN: Then I’ll pass on looking like a woman 😛 I’m the opposite, I’d rather eat nothing so I don’t have to work out…but food is just so tasty lol And not eating doesn’t really do much for toning up either :/ Boo. Someone needs to invent working in a pill or something lol

June 25, 2010

you can definitely see how much older he’s gotten in one year

June 26, 2010

Such a cute boy … Glad to see ur still writing here, I will be back now adn then to read xox

June 27, 2010

RYN: He likes me the same according to him, of course he tries to say there has been no change :/ It’s like yeah ok Trev, the scale is just lying an all my clothes srunk, right? lol He’s not the typical guy though, he doesn’t dig curves, it’s just not his type.
