alignment of the universe
i did my first newspaper interview today. thank goodness i know the local reporter b/c it’s scary and you’re afraid you’re saying all the wrong things the whole time or sounding like an idiot. the picture she took of me with the book looked good though LOL. another lady contacted me from another paper so i hope i’m not as terrible to interview as i think i am.
and i think the universe, or that little prayer i said before the interview (i’ve been having some MAJOR stomach issues so i asked for help), came together in my favour b/c not only was i ok the whole time (didn’t even have to pee) but beau fell asleep RIGHT before she came and is STILL sleeping almost 2 hours later. yay beau. did i tell you he actually slept through the night in his own bed last week for the first time in his life??? he hasn’t repeated it but there’s hope for us yet.
and she just thought sawyer was so well behaved. points for me 😉 i even sent him to bed and at first he said he didn’t want to (but very quietly and smirking, in a way that says i SO know i have to) so i told him to take his toys and go off to bed so he did. so that made me look like mom of the year. LOL. i am not but still…
so. i survived. but i had trouble answering some of her questions. *eep* we chatted a lot about other things b/c we know eachother so that was nice but yeah. oops. i need to figure out better answers about my own book. i really do fear i’m a terrible person to interview. i’m just so much better in written words than i am in conversation, esp. formal conversation!
anyway, that’s what i did today. now i should probably think about some work…

re: luckily my mom loves plants, so she will probably provide most of what i put in the yard. the inside will have to be done one room at a time as well. i look forward to it though, as i change my mind a lot. 😉

At least the boys were good, that had to take a lot of stress off of ya. I’m the same way, so much better expressing myself with the written word. It’s for the best if I don’t say the first thing that pops to mind which is what I do when I’m speaking.

How exciting about the interviews!! I really should take your book along with me this weekend. I have several to listen to and plan to scrap a lot but I may find a good opportunity to physically read a book.

RYN: my papa took pictures of every one happily at my nanas funeral, they were celebrating that she wasn’t in pain any more. I thought it was cute of him. may god rest his and nanas soul 🙂

YAY you! I would completely suck at that sort of thing! RYN: I did NOT buy them all..LOL Believe it or not there were over 200 photos to choose from and these are some of the ones we narrowed it down to. I only bought 12 sets. ;p

being taken out of context in an interview quote scares the crap out of me! but yay for beau and sawyer. it’s always fun to make people think you’re mom of the year. (if they only saw some of the foods i feed my son. LOL.) and RYN: i think you have the option to be checked at your weekly visits after 36 weeks, but since i went into labor at 38 weeks and was only checked twice, i’m not 100% sure. i’d rather get checked before i go into labor than be checked during labor. i go again today and i want to be checked. just because i want to know if these killer cramps at night are doing anything or just getting on my nerves. lol. and about the antibiodic, i don’t think it was amoxil i took that made my face swell i think it was something stronger. can’t remember what it was now though. and because my tooth was so extremely abscessed i think the medicine just made my face swell because it was THAT infected. i’ve noticed too that amoxil doesn’t really cut it when it comes to the UTI issues at all. macrobid all the way! 🙂

ryn: the paper used along with the cherry blossom is by Basic Grey. There is a DCWV stack that I think is very you. It’s the Far East stack. I’m using it for the China trip.
