job

so i got a new writing job. the pay isn’t bad. if i like it, i’m going to up my daily articles to about 10 a day and put at least beau in daycare from about 11 until 5, if not sawyer too on his days off school. i’m going to keep looking for more jobs as well. my goal is that i will have kids in daycare and i’ll be a real writer with decent pay coming in. the job i have now can be done whenever. i’m working on it today, in fact. i get up to 20 posts a month for that job. not enough to pay for much.

we’ll see how it goes. i just did my trial article yesterday, which she liked. she sent it to the client for approval and when that happens, i get paid for it. then i told her i would start at 3 articles a day for a couple weeks to get a feel for things. let’s hope it works out and i like it b/c i just don’t think i was meant ot be a SAHM. i really would prefer to have a writing career. every day. and contribute to this household.  and maybe even have downtime in which to write for myself.

so that’s the plan. let’s hope it works out and i can put this master’s degree to work. you wouldn’t believe how many jobs i have to apply for before i get one. with a lot of writing jobs (i’ve done quite a few over the years), a master’s degree, a book on my resume…it’s nuts. apparently, it’s normal though. i’m so glad i quit that other crappy job i was doing. it SO wasn’t worth it.
