dennis and i both like the look of them and shipping is $10. haha they’re even $69 and dennis and i (jokingly) have a deal that we have to buy anything that is $69. lol. there is one american site that has them for $44 but i’m afraid of duty or loss. i’m seeing from comments that they measure small so i’d need to go a size up. i love that they’re earth friendly and pretty but i’m worried they resemble crocs. i hate crocs (though i’m almost fond of the mary janes and they have a few new styles i don’t absolutely detest. i just think there are going to be a lot of kids angry at their moms for letting them look like dorks in those things when they see pictures of themselves later in life! no offence, anyone, i hope.) and they almost DO resemble the winter crocs:

but i think the ones i like are WAY cuter. however, if i don’t like them, it’s $15 to return them. and waterproof, which i really need. i tromp around pushing  a buggy in the snow. i don’t have time to think about my feet getting wet. at the moment i wear these (warm but not dry):

but we’re going to go to the US on friday if we can find a sitter. maybe dennis’s sister. he’s going to check in with her and see. i would love to convince dennis to go to hobby lobby too but i don’t know if that would happen. i’m up to $50 for my next pay check so i’ll keep writing and making more. i have my doubts but you never know what i can convince him of.

originally, i’d ordered boots from Sears but that was on the 5th and they JUST called me to let me know that the boots weren’t coming. grrrrrr. here’s the email i sent THEM in response to the one they sent me to let me know my boots were CANCELLED:

To Whom It May Concern:

I am extremely disappointed that it took nearly a month for you to let me know that this order could not be completed as promised. I even put a call in to your representative on January 18th and was told that the boots would be delivered in 3-5 days. I am also appalled at Sears’ lack of attention to detail, as these boots are STILL listed on your website.

I would expect that when a person who walks everywhere is left in a lurch with wet, cold feet and no good winter boots in the middle of winter, Sears would reimburse that person in some way. Apparently, seeing as there is nothing offered in your email, I look upon Sears with more respect than I should.
