stupid weather

it’s getting cold. i hate the cold. i thrive in summer, fall prey to sadness in winter. ugh. at least i have proper winter boots this year.

i’m too tired to write much. sawyer was up at 6. 1.5-2 hours before his usual wake-up time. often, when he wakes up that early, dennis just leads him back to bed and he goes back to sleep. not this time. i snoozed (you know, that mommy half-sleep we mommies all know so well?) on the couch and he played and watched TV.  i hope his nap is at least  a good one.

i ordered 3 new diapers last night: another sandy’s with 2 liners (i thought i’d grab one for our other sandy’s), another organic one size motherease fitted with liner, and a bamboo one size fitted with liner. they’ll be here in a couple days. not only is their shipping extremely reasonable ($3 if you spend over $50 but only $5 otherwise) but the products ship in no time (i’ve ordered from them before.) it’ll probably be here by thursday or friday. the diapers look like:

bamboo one size (this is probably going to be very soft. the ones they had in the store in Toronto were SO soft but i think they were a different kind of diaper. not sure.)

next week is the week dennis is gone. i could handle a few days, especially since  irene is coming over from wednesday to friday (we’re going to go to yoga on thursday!!) but 9 days is so long. for some unknown reason, i agreed to go to dennis’s grandma’s house on tuesday with dennis’s mom. what was i thinking? i don’t want to do that. ugh. dennis owes me big time for that one.

i have to make dennis a birthday card still. *oops* i usually slip a little note into his tote and he finds it at some point in the week. i’ll have to do that too. he hasn’t packed up the tote though so no hurry, i guess.
