we cannot find anywhere to go where there’s a fun pumpkin patch with all kinds of things to do so i think we’re going to take sawyer to a local one and just buy some stupid pumpkins. lol. they have a tractor with pumpkins on a trailer and the "farmer’ who drives it has a pumpkin for a head so we might be able to get some cute pics anyway.

currently, i’m copying christina aguilera videos (from back to basics) to burn for my father. he saw her doing candyman on a show and loved it. my parents can’t find her videos on DVD, only CD ROM. weird. i’ll get dennis to burn them all on a DVD for me. i haven’t yet figured that out. i borrowed a CD from the library as well, so i’ll get him to burn that too while he’s at it. eventually, i will learn to do it but he’s not the most patient teacher when it comes to computer stuff.

yesterday, my mom and i did a bit of shopping. we were mildly successful, as i bought some towels (slowly collecting new ones) and a couple scrapbooking items on sale at wal-mart. i looked for new yoga pants, as mine are not fitting right (one pair is too big and the other, i just dont like how they look on me) but i didn’t find any. i wanted the exact same ones i had before but smaller but they didn’t have them anymore. argh. no yoga pants for me. i picked up dennis’s birthday present at the post office as well; all 3 shirts (we ended up choosing 3 finally) fit him perfectly. good stuff. i’d rather he wear fight gear all the time and advertise MMA than wear some random expensive label. this way, we’re buying expensive clothing but benefiting something that needs attention in ontario rather than giving some clothing company more money….not that I don’t do that already….anyway….

we had book club this morning. sawyer was well-behaved. i didn’t read the book *eep* we’re reading war stories for next month, as remembrance day falls in november.  i got one called "once upon a day"; i hope i like this one, as i haven’t been falling all over myself for any of them so far. in december, we’re reading "penelopead" by margaret atwood. that one, i’m excited about. i read the odyssey in university and am very interested to read atwood’s take on penelope’s perspective of the story.

we have a halloween party to attend saturday night. dennis has a mark hominick (MMA fighter) seminar that day. i could go but i don’t want to make a fool of myself in front of mark hominick. 😉
