today, sawyer drove me crazy. some days, he just acts so wild. daddy went away golfing though, so i think he was reacting to that. he wants dad around more. i’ve been paying a little more attention to what sets sawyer off and i’m thinking it’s daddy. when it happens, he starts around 4:30 with his crazy behaviour and it goes on for half an hour or an hour. daddy gets home from work between 5 and 6. yup.  today, he saw daddy this morning and then daddy left not long after. he was a little beast today. see a trend? today, the behaviour included throwing things and hitting, things that have not been a problem for a couple weeks. daddy better pay a LOT of attention to sawyer tomorrow (he does give him lots of love and attention usually but i want him to give more tomorrow. insert evil mommy laugh here) and give me a rest or i will lay down the law. we have the work picnic and i do not want to be the one chasing sawyer all day long. let me rephrase that. i will not be.

in other news, he wanted to sit on the potty this morning. he brought it into the living room and i helped him get his clothes and whatnot off. and he peed after a short while. the same thing happened later on after dennis was home. he wanted to sit on the potty but i was too slow and he pooped in his diaper. i wish i’d been quicker but i was so tired and frustrated with him by that point. i think he’s doing so well! he loves flushing the toilet and i take him with me to show him that i put a star or an X on the calendar, depending on whether he pees or poops.

i got a bit of scrapbooking in today. won a few things on ebay. when dennis got home, we went for a walk, got something to eat at the local summer restaurant, brought back some movies, paid for my CM scrap club order (due today–i hope her husband doesn’t forget to tell her. she wasn’t home from a local fair yet), and rented a movie called the ultimate gift. i liked it. it was well done, something i wasn’t expecting of a movie i’d never heard of.

dennis is watching UFC fights now. they’re on free tonight so everyone from the club is tuned in. some are home, like us, and some are at the trainer’s house watching them.

thankful for: friends who’ve been trying for years and years are finally expecting their first child. i think the husband is going to be a really good dad.

sad for: my other friend’s second miscarriage.
