Saturday, May 19th – 2012

Pardon the lapse there, folks – Life got – and continues to be “Hella Busy.  I’ll keep up as best I can, but there probably will be repeats of this time to time.

At any rate – a brief run down of last night.  It was an interesting evening, really.  One of our bartenders had the night off, so one of our bar backs was pressed into bar duty for the evening and did respectably well I’d say. He had some experience, but not a ton – so honestly I was pleased by how he did. Gods knows we need some seasoned hands for the next few months.

Got word that on Tuesday I’ll be helping to train a new bartender, a girl transferring over from the Steak House in the casino.  Not sure what I think about that, honestly, but hey – if she can hack it, it’s all right.

The Preakness Stakes were fun to watch, though it didn’t draw the same crowd as the Derby a couple of weeks previously.  The Belmont Stakes are going to be a zoo in a couple of weeks, though. Should be fun.

Our band was a country-ish one, though they’re definitely working in some of the more popular classic rock numbers that get requested, so, hey, I guess that’s all right.

Was a good show.

Really – it was a pretty even tempered, mundane Saturday night.

No fuss, no muss, no rough stuff.

Closing Observations:

• The quality of a video stream over the casino’s Wi-Fi is inversely proportional to the number of people attempting to watch.
