First day on the job!

     It went really well. I wasn’t the only one to start my first day today. I had fun. We had so much to do. We have to scan/analyze all these black spruce branches. I won’t get into the details because it’s boring…but anyways…we have to take all these branches out of this big industrial walk-in fridge like the one from Timmies. Then we section it all off and cut off little peices with a razor blade, separate it into which year of growth we think it is, then put some of it in an oven that is about 80 degrees fahrenheit so it can dry out.

     Doug, our big boss told us that he would take us all out for lunch on Friday if we finished them all by the end of the week. He said that normally people take a whole day to do just 4 branches because it’s so tedious…well…we did 11! That’s right, ELEVEN! We’re just the greatest!

     Well, I really have to go because I’m exhausted and I have to wake up really early again tomorrow, but I had an awesome time and I love the people I work with! I hope that everything stays this way and everything stays really fun!
