My Sweet Refuge ;;

Here I am,
Standing so tall
And so alone…
where’s the world
when you need it?
A desire so strong
you fight to feed it
and i’m falling all over myself
slipping in and out of dreams
where are my dreams?
i lost a part of myself
and i keep waiting
for the daylight to break through the clouds
And i keep waiting
but the rain soaks up the sun
and the clouds eat away at the day…
and here i go
my thoughts swirling in my head
and im running out of things to say;
convincing myself that i’m okay.
and if the sky was anything but blue
would it taste the same?
this sweet, sweet happiness
turned bitter by the fallen leaves
and i forget to love when hate clouds my mind
i’m turning around and around
looking for the girl i knew
and im standing so tall
And so alone
where is that place i want to call home?
