update from abroad

I’m in Istanbul right now, and so far it’s been my favorite city on this trip. The city is just fun to get lost in, and fortunately it has a metro system… not the greatest (that would be Paris), but definitely a little easier on the feet. My poor feet!!  The apartment we’re in is the top three floors of a small brownstone kinda looking thing… we have our rooms on the first level, second level is a kitchen/dining room/living room type thing, and the top floor is a rooftop terrace. From the terrace I can see the Hagia Sophia, the Galata Tower, the Golden Horn… pretty much all of Istanbul.

The first two weeks were good, but just okay…. Traveling so much is kind of stressful, we’re not in any place for more than 4 days and it feels like I’m always running to catch a train or airplane. My next vacation will be shorter and not have as much running around. So far we’ve been to Amsterdam, Paris, Prague, Budapest, and now Istanbul. I’ll be in Madrid on Thursday, then after that it’s about 10 days in Italy… Milan, Rome, and Naples.
