back to my real life

I spent the last few days in Dallas working a big event with my cosmetics job, and it was fun. I got to shop at the Fresh Boutique, which is really cute (and with a 50% discount, how could I not shop?). I picked up the necessities- deodorant and toothpaste- and had to get the new Brown Sugar Body Cream and a bottle of Patchouli Pure for my friend Julie.

I met up with a high school friend that I hadn’t seen in about 18 years. He and I had a lot of mutual friends, and worked together on the yearbook. Yes, I was the dork who always had a camera around his neck. We had a lot of fun catching up, and then it turned tearful after he had a few drinks. He was caught up in the whole "I was a misunderstood gay teen, and nobody wanted to fuck me!" and well… everyone felt that way. But we grow up, and we find people who like us, and we eventually get laid. so yeah, I’m heartless I guess.

Here we are, 18 years later! I wish you could see my right arm better now that the tattoo is done.

I suck at Mother’s day too. I didn’t see my mother… I feel bad about it, but when I got home on Sunday, after driving for 300ish miles, I just wanted to hit the sack and wake up refreshed. Sorry Mom! I’ll send her something expensive and sparkley this week.

I need to call an arborist, one of the oaks in my front yard has some weird tree virus and this huge branch needs to come off before it falls on and crushes my roof. It’s huge, and would totally wreck my house. Yikes.

Last week I saw X Men Origins: Wolverine – disappointing. I’m a comic book dork, and was not happy with the liberties they took with the story. If you’re not a comic book geek, you should go because it’s a pretty good story if you don’t have a history with the franchise. I also saw Monsters vs Aliens, and i freakin’ LOVED it. I wanted to change my name to Ginormica afterwards. Tonight we’re going to the Alamo Drafthouse to see Star Trek. Ooooh, movies and awesome food, I love it the most!

and finally: my awesome Gucci sandals that I got for like 19 bucks are still awesome, and I’ve paired them with golden toenails. I feel like a total Miami socialite. Mid 50s, tanned like leather, and trying too hard!!  ðŸ™‚ Oh well, off to work now!

I’m totally afraid to see Wolverine because I fear I won’t pay attention to the story line at ALL.

I too was a yearbook dork and coveted my key to its “office,” as well as the darkroom next door.

Monsters Vs. Aliens was so awesome!
