SXSW good times

South by Southwest is happening, and we’re at the start of the music portion of the festival. Last night I saw The Young Mammals, Dawn Over Zero, some random metal band (I couldn’t understand their name because of ALL THE SCREAMING), and the awesomest band ever, Katzenjammer.

I walked in on the middle of their set, and when they were done, I asked the banjo playing lady "hey, what’s your band’s name?" and in the cutest Norwegian accent ever, she just handed me a flower and said "We are playing!". My heart broke into a million pieces and I just had to rearrange my schedule to see them again tonight. Super cute ness (if you’re a friend of Facebook, you can see a few pictures of them in my mobile  uploads).

Tonight we’re going to see Peter Murphy and Tori Amos and Lil Wayne. What a freakiin’ awesome lineup.

Tomorrow night we’re going to see Echo and the Bunnymen at my favorite gay bar, and Saturday night we’re going to see Devo. Yay!
